Chapter 3.2- How To Ask Nicely

A small warning from me- Language Language little lady. Emotions are running high and so my characters are a little more profane than usual.

Well, Watcher. Roger wasn’t supposed to grow up. He was supposed to be her little playground friend forever.

Mariah tried to find traces of the gawky teenager in the man standing before her, but without glasses on and his hair combed it wasn’t easy. Then it hit her, while she was studying him, he was studying her.
With his mouth hanging open his eyes kept resting on her belly, widening, making him draw deep breaths before he’d shake his head a little, blink, and bring his eyes back to hers briefly. Then, again, they’d fall. And then he would gasp a little once more. Blink. Shake his head just barely. Flick his eyes back up. Repeat the process once more, this time letting his gaze linger on her bulging waistline a little longer, and a little longer the next.
For the first time ever she stood before him and he was judging her. Her best friend could finally see who she really was.

“Now you hate me, too!” Mariah wailed. Her sobs shattered the growing tension making Roger jump.
But she didn’t care. She could see the judgment; he didn’t have to say it aloud. The worst of it all was she knew she deserved it.

“Are you alright?” Roger’s voice was barely louder than her crying.
“No! Does it look like I’m alright? Nothing is alright!” Wiping her eyes, she noticed that he’d put one arm around himself and that his shoulders were hunched forward. It was a gesture as familiar as her own face in the mirror, and she knew what it meant.

“Oh, my Watcher now I’m scaring you!” Hiding her face from him, she whimpered into her arm.
Standing in confusion, she could hear his odd gasps and groan from across the room. He was trying to say something, but kept stopping himself. Now she’d confused him too. Great. What a great meeting. What a fabulous time we’re having. He’ll never want to see me again.
She’d half decided to run to her room to spare him from looking at her when she felt an arm slip around her waist.

Grateful for a kind human touch Mariah immediately leaned onto him, abandoning her thoughts before.
“He was just there, I’m so. So. Stupid. I mean, protection? Why? Where was my brain? They warned us about this in school,” babbled Mariah between sobs. “There are movies about this shit on tv even! That girlie stupid channel designed to scare the living Watcher out of you to make sure you stay vigilant and on your guard, and to make you a feminist, and a weak one at that. Movies! They always fall for it. And I did too! Stuuuupid!”
Roger let her babble as he tried to lead her to a seat in the room, shushing her when she threatened to become hysterical.

“Look at me,” she continued, cradled in Roger’s arms. “Here we are, barely out of high school. My mom is gone. I should be living my dreams out! Not about to have his baby.”
“Whose?” Roger’s voice was a low rumble.
“Andre Parker’s,” Mariah dissolved into tears once more just saying that piece of shit’s name.

            “I didn’t know.”
“Of course you didn’t know,” a little of Mariah’s fire returning. “No one knew! What kind of idiots do you think we were? Kelci might have broken up with him and then he might have lost his scholarship to Simvard. That bastard. That bastard!”
Again she dissolved into tears and Roger waited for her to calm down once more.

“How long?” Roger’s arms tensed a little as he asked.
“Almost 8 months,” Mariah gave a half smile. “She’s really active too.”
Frowning momentarily, Roger had to think for a moment before he figured it out. She thought he’d asked about how far along she was.
            “A girl?”
“Yeah,” she answered as her hand absently rubbed her stomach. “She’ll be beautiful I think.”
“Well, yeah,” Roger tried to quip, but it fell flat.

“A beautiful little girl without a daddy,” Mariah’s voice quavered again, her grip of his arm tightened.
            “No Andre, huh?”
“No,” she sniffed. “I wrote to him. I told him. Months ago. I just got a letter back, but I could hardly understand what he was saying. But he sent money, and I think he-”
“He wants nothing to do with you or her?”
“No- yes. I mean, he’s kind of suggesting-but-no-ye-yes!”

This time Roger allowed her to cry. He held her without attempting to calm her or interrupt the outpouring of emotions.
“I think I’d like to lay down for a little bit,” whispered Mariah once her tears had been spent. “I just need a nap. For a little while. But don’t go. Please? At least until I’m asleep. Just stay until I’m asleep please. It’s such a comfort to have you here with me.”

And so he’d sat on the bed with her curled around him from behind and held her hand until she’d fallen asleep.
Her snores were soft and regular before her hand finally went limp and he dared to stand. For one moment he allowed himself to watch her slumber. It was something he’d always hoped to do and now he finally could it was too painful to do for too long. Just like how for several teenaged eternities he'd longed to touch her tenderly, and now he'd at last been able to have her in his arms she'd blubbered about that asshole the entire time. Did she even realize that he'd held her?

Once he’d closed the door his eyes fell on the letter lying on the table. The letter. She’d mentioned writing to Andre and said she’d just received his reply.

Mariah,
I received your letter, thank you for not attempting to call. You were right that I’m extremely busy right now. It would have also been very indiscreet.
As to your situation, I don’t understand how you could possibly think that I should be there to help you with it. This is a very important time for me and I can afford no distractions.
I also thought I’d made it very clear that what we shared, which was fun while it lasted, is over. I can’t raise a child I don’t want (and have never wanted) with a woman I am no longer involved with.
Enclosed you should find enough simoleans to cover the expense of getting it taken care of. If you are struggling since your mothers passing and truly have no one, as you say, then this is best. I’m sure you’ll agree.
I really feel I should say this again: this is the end of our correspondence. I wish you the best in your life and endeavors as I hope you do mine. But it’s time for you to move on.

            Best wishes,
                        Andre

PS- Also, I won’t need to tell you to please keep it quiet even in town so my parents don’t find out. I’m sure you want to avoid scandal as much as I do.

Roger flung the letter to the ground, not caring about putting it back on the table. Putting his foot on it he glared at it for a moment, grinding it with his heel before bolting out the door.

The gym in the basement at the station was stark, and it was mostly avoided by the members of Appaloosa Plains’ Police Force. They generally preferred gyms with better air conditioning and equipment, which made it perfect for Roger right now.

Ignoring the other Rookies to the force behind him, Roger lashed out at the hanging heavy bag wishing it were Andre. On one of the hits, pain exploded in a knuckle. He’d forgotten to wrap his hands and now paid the price. But he didn’t care.
            He didn’t care. Jab
            He didn’t care. Uppercut
            He didn’t care. Left Hook
            Dammit he did care!

What the hell? What was she thinking? She was supposed to be his! And here she is pregnant? When he’d first realized she was he was disgusted. What was wrong with him for that? He shouldn’t have felt that way. Even now though, he almost felt like he didn’t know her anymore. It was like he had no idea who she was. Had he ever really known her? How could she have allowed herself to be put in such a position with that schmuck? His Mariah was scrupulous in her actions, terrified someone would pay too much attention, or would notice her and ask questions. Well, she’d for sure get questions now! And just how long had this been going on?!?
Why isn’t the bag moving like it should?

“Hey, killer,” his partner popped up from behind the bag. “The chief called me down after you terrified a couple of people. We all like Biff and would rather you keep him in one piece. That or the chief is going to make you replace him.”
Taylor Mattell had been on the force for several years already. She’d also been a great partner for the first grueling two weeks he’d been on a beat.
“The heavy bag you’re attempting to pull down with your fists of fury? We call him Biff. Also, you’re throwing those punches pretty wildly. Seriously, man. Focus! And the yelling doesn’t make you hit harder.”

Not in the mood for banter, Roger gritted his teeth.
“Let go of the bag, Taylor,” he growled at her.
“Hmmm, that wasn’t a very nice way to ask,” She gripped the bag a little more tightly. “So, no. I’m not going to let go of it. How about I show you how to ask nicely?”
            Roger’s eyes were slits.
“I’ll take that as a yes, then. Hey, Roger! It looks like something is up, partner. Would you be so kind as to tell me what’s wrong? Please?”

Instead of answering, Roger continued his glare.
“Okay,” Taylor kept one arm around the bag and slid around to see him better. “You asked for it. I’m going to use my super logic skills and act like the detective I hope to be one day. Yesterday, you were worried about your girl when you found out about her mom. So I talked you into going to see her. You also took the morning off.  So I’m guessing you went to see said girl and things didn’t go well. Am I right?”

“What happened, killer?” Taylor pressed. “She didn’t dump you did she?”
When he still didn’t answer, her face fell a little.
“Aw, man! I’m so sorry! She did dump you didn’t she?”
“No,” he finally answered her. “She’s pregnant.”
“You dog!” Taylor’s face lit up again. “You never told me you two had been gettin’ it on! A baby! Congrats, Daddy!”

“It’s not mine,” he said a little louder than he’d intended. Saying the words aloud hurt like hell.
“Oh,” she said. “Shit. So… Shit.”
“She wasn’t my girl, Taylor,” another punch to his gut coming out of his own mouth. “She’s never been more than my best friend. I just-”
“No, no,” Taylor quickly said. “I’m the one who assumed, I shouldn’t have said that. I’m sorry. It’s just- you talk about her all the time-”

“-Because I wanted her to be my girl,” interrupted Roger. “That’s why I talk about her so much. I’ve loved her since we were little kids.”
“It’s okay to want someone. It’s not okay to obsess and them to not want you in return,” Taylor frowned a little. “Does she know? That you love her I mean.”
Roger shook his head, softly hitting one fist against the heavy bag.
“Roger, get your sweaty head off of Biff. Nobody wants to see you making out with him, and he is not a suitable substitute for a real girl,” Taylor grimaced.

            Groaning, Roger stepped back.
“Don’t be like that! Go fight for her! Win her back from the asswipe boyfriend who stole her from you!”
Roger winced. “There is no boyfriend.”
            “Husband then! Fight that-”
“-There is no one,” he admitted, knowing that would only fuel Taylor. “It’s just her. Her parents are dead, the father has a girlfriend he’s not going to leave, he doesn’t want anything to do with it. It’s her and her alone.”

“Really?” Taylor refused to let up. “That’s even better! Now you can go in and be her knight in shining armor! That’s just what every girl wants! She needs you now. So you go in and tell her just how much you’ve loved her and for how long and plant a nice big kiss on her lips.”
Roger’s head pounded. She made it all sound so easy when it was anything but. If it were easy, he would have been able to do it years ago, before any of this ever happened in the first place.

“No,” Roger finally interrupted. “No, I don’t think I will.”
Flexing her fist a little, Taylor raised her brows, inviting him to explain.
Roger huffed in exasperation, putting a gloved hand on his hip.
“She doesn’t want me. If she did she wouldn’t be having someone else’s baby, would she?”
            “Does she know?”
“What do you mean does she know?”

Taylor mimicked his stance, pouting and with a hand on her hip. Seeing that she thought he was being stupid he dropped his arms.
“Really. What do you mean ‘does she know?’”
“I mean, does she know how you feel? Have you told her? Have you said those three little words?”
            Roger just stared.
“Alright, Romeo. Lemme spell this out. You need to go and tell her, because we can’t read minds. This is coming from a chick who likes chicks, so I really know chicks and how chicks work.”

He didn’t like it. There was a lot still left to chance, but what else was he supposed to do? Maybe Taylor was right. Maybe Mariah didn’t know and he’d been the one wasting his own time.
Dammit, she was right. And it was time Mariah knew. His resolved formed Roger looked back at Taylor and nodded. He would fight for the girl he loved.

I know that was really long and way overdue. Sorry. And yes, it is indeed a girl.

And please forgive the boxing poses. I know he was hitting that heavy bag way too low, but if I put his hand too much higher you couldn't see his face. So artistic license won.
Huge thanks to Gemly_Teddie for Taylor Mattell, her generation 3 co-heir. I needed a cop and there was Taylor! Readymade and a cop to boot! She’s so cyoot! And I had a ton of fun putting her in here.

  1. Mmmm Roger did grow up well. I had faith that he would blossom into a swan ;) Not that Mariah's in any state to recognize the swan aspect at the moment. Speaking of him judging her, I'm wondering for the first time how Roger would have reacted, had he known while it was happening that she was involved with Andre, given how much he hated the guy. And it's such a switch-up to see Mariah being needy--to Roger. That's probably something he's wanted for a long time, though not under these circumstances.

'for several teenaged eternities'- heh. They always are.

Ugh. Andre. He waited that many months to write her back, and then wants her to 'take care of it'? Double ugh. What an ass. And then he actually wrote that he hopes she wishes him the best? Triple ugh! Can't say I blame Roger for grinding that letter under his heel.

Taylor <3 She was right in reminding him that we can't read minds. And right that he should fight for Mariah, though I'm not altogether sure how that's going to go over right now. That's a lot to lay on her in the middle of a crisis. Then again, whether she realized it or not, she welcomed physical contact from him, even though they were never touchy-feely before. I guess we'll find out soon? ;)

    1. Yes! I think he grew up quite nicely. =D Nah. Well, kinda. It clicked a little that he really grew into his features, but after that, yeah. She has no clue how he really looked. I don't want to know how he would have reacted if he had known earlier, TBH. lol. I'm afraid he might have quite literally exploded leaving little Roger confetti bits littering the world. A very big switch up indeed, and one he really had wanted for a very long time.

      Aren't they though? lol

Andre is/was/always will be all about Andre. Roger could smell it on him and the warning signs were all there for Mariah to read too. Alas! And I'm going to put this here to copy/paste as I go; The wait before he wrote her back was the result of a mixture of fear, denial, and a want to get that money together before he wrote back to her. After that, it was a totally douchey thing for him to say half of what he did. But again, self preservation, fear and denial pushed a lot of that along.

I'm rather thinking you're more right about that than you know. At the moment, despite her words, she's still very much pining for Roger's antithesis and so having him exploding onto the scene brimming with words of longing and love would probably do exactly the opposite of what he'd want it to do. Will he realize that though?

  2. I think I may actually have a crush on Roger now. Damn boy. O_o I tried to sneak a pearl at your roll to see if you got couple + half-siblings (I kind of love that roll combo because of all the ways people can play it) but of course you haven't revealed Mariah's roll yet. Hmph.

It was really cool to see Taylor there. : ) I love how real you make your characters, and I'm looking forward to seeing if Roger can win his fair maiden's heart or not.

    1. He grew up quite well IMHO. =D No roll peeks just yet. lol But I don't think I'll be able to keep this one hidden much longer. In fact, we should be able to see the marital structure roll (at the very least) next time.

I loved getting to use her! And thank you! I try. *slobby kisses. I'm looking forward to all of this too. It should be a lot of fun. =D

  3. Roger without glasses, finally. And his eyes are so blue:D He grew up looking very differently from what I expected. Looks good though, and really unique. Atleast he's still goofy and a bit obsessive over Mariah.
She was supposed to be his, might have worked better if Mariah actually knew about it. Good thing he has Taylor to point out the obvious. But maybe Mariah needs a friend more than a lover right now. Last time she was with a guy it didn't end to well for her after all. Hopefully he'll figure out what to do.
Andre's really cold, not just what's in the letter, or the money. He can't even be bothered to responds quickly when she tries to contact him. Maybe he was hoping the stress would make her loose the baby? Nah, he probably didn't even care that much.
A very, very big part of me hopes Mariah uses her "powers", that atleast Andre and his girlfriend thinks she has, and ruins his life some way. Is Mariah to nice for that? Or maybe their daughter inherits her dads very easy to recognise haircolour. That will atleast secure some rumours to go around town.
Oh, and I agree with Roger. Ofcourse Mariah and Andres daughter's going to be beautiful. Though he's probably just thinking about Mariah.

    1. Yes they are. I love his blue eyes! So pretty! I've been hiding a lot of his face with the clunky glasses and hair. And a lot of my males seem to be super awkward looking teens and pretty decent adults. I have no idea how that happens.

Well yeah! It's Roger! He'll always be a big old goober. And 100% what Mariah needs right now is a friend more than a lover. I think she kind of knows that too. We'll see just what *he* does next time. ;)

Not to defend Andre, he's a douche even in my book, but the wait was for much simpler reasons. He hoped it would go away if he ignored it. He was afraid of what might happen if he acknowledged it, and he needed time to get that much money together. After that? Only time will tell if he cared that much or not. We haven't seen the last of him. (Ooooh! Spoiler!)

Right now Mariah honestly doesn't realize just how much power she holds. I'll let her tell it in her own words next time, but we'll see what she feels she is capable of soon enough.

Lol! Oh she is gorgeous! Haha, but yes. Roger is just thinking of Mariah. ;)

  4. Good, Taylor's a lesbian. I wouldn't have been happy if she had her eyes on Roger.

Speaking of which, hello hottie! Now you've gotten rid of his glasses, I like him. (glasses are a turn off for me)

Andre.... *counts to ten, slowly* I'm somehow resisting to swear right now. All I'm going to say is that I am very disappointed in him and he's a little b*tch for saying that to Mariah. That is extremely censored from what I was thinking at that letter.

Aw, she's having a girl (even though her dad is an asshat). I prefer girls, they're cuter and when they pee it doesn't go everywhere :) I have a cousin that's about five, and whenever I go over we always watch disney movies, I love it <3 girls are better than boys anyway.

Go Roger! Be her knight! Get a horse too, girls love horses <3 Stun Mariah with your pretty blue eyes and go and be there for her because she needs you!
I have no clue how long this comment is, but yay for you updating!

    1. Taylor wouldn't have ever been interested in Roger, lol. And, correct me if I'm wrong Gemma, but isn't she a bit of a cougar too? So Roger is a little too old for her. Ha!

Aw! I loves a man in glasses. All smart and spiffy. *drools. Though I also put Roger in the heaviest frames to hide his face well. Add on that hair and the wonderfully dorky clothes and I knew what I had. I was just hiding his light beneath a bushel for my own jollies.

lol. Andre is a douche. He is a tool and a prick and lots of other things. So swear away. =D

LOL! My son once peed in his own ear. Don't ask. But I laughed like anything. Boys are way more fun. I can wrestle and tickle and be rough and hyper with him way more than my daughter. I always feel like I'm going to break her if I hug her too hard. And she's a Disney princess nut. We finally watched Frozen and now all she does is go around draped in a lace curtain panel screeching 'Let it go. Let it GO!' You can have her. I don't get it. lol

No horses in my game! Not after they kept breaking into Helen and Buck's room all that time ago. lol. They are far more work than I'm willing to put in. I iz lazy. Maybe they'll get a cat one day. We'll see. ;)

Yes! Yay for updating! I shot this one like 3 times is what took so long. I never was satisfied with the pics. I'm still not. lol Oh well.

    2. Lolololll!! YES!! Hahahaaaa! Taylor dates women the same age as her children. Pahahaaa! But she's a fairy, so age doesn't mean the same thing really.

    3. See, I chose the non-cougar fairy sister. ;)

As someone who has worn (and hated wearing) glasses since she was six, I have gained a strong dislike to glasses, especially hipster ones. You know the really thick framed ones that people wear ironically? Ergh. *shudders*

He is a douche. He's a twatty douche and I hope he's happy with Kelci, even though she's a slut and I hope she gets fat and they're stuck in a loveless marriage. I can't believe I ever liked that guy. Hmph. I guess I fell for him like how Mariah did :( Ah well, at least he can't get me pregnant. But just in case there's a human him... *Gets a stick with a kinda sharp point*

I thought that said car at first. I didn't know you had a son that was old enough to drive! But, I don't think I should ask how it is possible to pee in one's ear.
I was a Disney Princess nut too! =D I had everything. I had all the dolls, mini figurines, dress up clothes and I met them at Disney Land in Paris and Orlando. I'll happily take her, but I'm being Elsa. >:/

Once, a deer randomly popped up in one of my sim's bedroom. I was there laughing and mumbled what the f*ck? over and over again. It was scarily funny :3 and I think I remember you saying that. All I think of though with Helen is the sparkly butt thing.

I like the pics. They're better than mine, trust me. I just go "Yeah, good enough" and plop them in.

    4. I wear glasses. And, uh. I wear thick framed hipster specs because according to a 'buzzfeed survey' I am a hipster. LOL

Make that stick super pointy. And you should never put down said stick. lol
Noooo!Nononononono. I am old, but not That old. ;) He's also autistic and will not be allowed/able to drive, so it's all good. And right now? Lou isn't even relinquishing Elsa to her BFF. Ha!

I can't do that with pics. My OCD won't allow it. ;) But I bet it's SO nice to not need to shoot things 3 and 4 times over from 5 angles for each shot.

  5. Aw, Roger is so sweet and I love that Taylor was around to point out to him that we can't read men's minds and he needs to tell Mariah that he loves her!

Andre on the other hand is an absolute ********** (insert whatever expletive/insult you wish) and deserves to be utterly destroyed and humiliated. He waits months before writing back to Mariah only to tell her to get rid of their child? And why should she think he should be there? Perhaps because he's the **** father? If he didn't want consequences then he should have used protection (and by the way, does he have a clue about "taking care of it"? The length of time its taken him to respond means there's no chance of that - other than adoption which I'm pretty sure is not what he was referring to!)

Now Roger, get yourself cleaned up (he's got to be all sweaty after that workout), get over to Mariah's and take care of your girl!

    1. He's a sweetie. A great big ole softie just waiting to be Mr.Chivalry. <3 And yes! Thank heavens Taylor is there to let him in on our biggest secrets. ;) Poor guy has too many brothers to know what's up with girls.

Andre waited so long to reply for several reasons. And yes, honestly, one of those is he doesn't realize his long wait has now resulted in it being too late to do what he's suggesting. He's not thinking because he doesn't really care enough to think. One of the reasons behind the wait was fear. He was afraid that acknowledging it would make it true. One of the reasons was hope that by ignoring it, the problem would take care of itself. The other is he needed time to get that amount of money together.
As to why Mariah thinks he ought to be there? She really hasn't figure him out yet. She is unable to reconcile the high school rumors with the person he presented to her. She's still seeing his façade and, very unfortunately, still loves him. She holds hope that he loves her too, very very deep down somewhere. Let's be honest, his words to her in the cabin? In Tibi's old room? All of them conveyed that he cared for her. The only problem is that he also used plenty of words and actions that showed just how flippantly he regarded her affection for him. Only she was blinded by the lies and the perception he showed her. It's a perception she still holds dear, despite the letter he just sent. However, I'll let her explain exactly what *she* read in that letter herself.

Lol. He's quite sweaty for sure! And we'll see just what he does next time. =D

  6. Hehe Taylor! :D That's both sisters making recent appearances now! Loved her being all sassy like that! Loooooveddd ittt!! :D And she had some sound words of advice for ole Roj there too. Go gettum tiger!

Oh Mariah.... Oh poor clueless Mariah... I don't even know what to say about her but that letter is HARSH! Andre wanted her to 'take care of it' with the money... Is he thinking abortion? Does he not realised it's far too late for that! Not to mention unspeakably insensitive of him to suggest! Ugh. Douche.

Now's your chance Roger! Swoop in there and get the girl of your dreams!

    1. I needed her to be a little sassy. Besides, she was always a wonderfully strong woman in your legacy too so it fits. =D

Yeah, she's pretty naïve isn't she? Yes. Though he didn't realize she would be that far along still. Stoopid man believing in what is most convenient. Andre is only 'sensitive' when it suits him to be, here? no. Not at all.

We'll see what he does now he knows a little better, thanks to Taylor! ;)

  7. AMAZING chapter Sunny!!! The unexpected role-reversal with Roger and 'Riah, the post-awkward teen years Roger reveal, and the extremely needed Taylor cameo. She added some levity to a very intense chapter in addition to the clarity he needed to, hopefully, avoid the very easy to fall into Pit of Misunderstandings (perhaps said with a booming voice that echoes somewhat ominously?) Seems like common sense, have you ACTUALLY said the words, told her flat out? No? Then she hasn't a clue. Reverse genders, same sex couples, doesn't matter, we are all susceptible to messing things up by not really understanding the other person. Hopefully with Taylor's advice and pep talk he will be able to think a little more clearly and decide what to say to Mariah next. Of course Andre isn't gone. You can't kill a cockroach! Maybe seeing Roger will help Mariah kind of snap out it and try to look at her current life objectively, cut herself some slack and realize she didn't fall for a person, but a character, and not a strong one at that. Andre will always be, at his core, a cowardly survivor. Which means there is no room in his life for anyone but Andre. Maybe having her best friend back in her life will help her regain her own strength, find the good to look forward to in her daughter, and the good that already has arrived. You can do a lot worse than to fall in love with your best friend! ;-) 'Specially when he's got abs like those *drool*

    1. Aw! Thank you! LOL! The Pit of Misunderstandings! That is brilliant! And it really is a pit isn't it? At least he's learning this fairly early on. With any luck, we'll get this sorted fairly quickly. ;)

And absolutely. I hope he'll keep his head on a little straighter now he's been clued in on what she's really been up to. Then again, is she ready to hear what he has to say?

Lol. Andre the cockroach. >:D. The imagery there is awesome. lol

Mariah is pretty good on not dwelling over long on hurt feelings or mistakes. However, she is carrying his baby and nursing the hurt of her first romantic rejection. Then again, time heals all wounds, and hopefully she'll see a little better who Andre really is. And if Roger is helping her along? Who knows what might happen? ;)

I luvs his body too. =D I had to trim him down a little actually. He's Always working out and his muscle slider was maxed making him a little oddly shaped. lol

  8. Awww, Roger grew up so cute! Hello Mariah---take a looksey to what is under your nose! Poor girl---she always did overlook the obvious (like Andre's character!). I sure hope Roger takes Taylor's (she looked familiar--but I couldn't place her, haha How awesome to see Gemma's Taylor in here) advice and actually talks to Mariah about how he feels. Though---he might want to wait just a wee little bit---she's still reeling from Andre's letter and rejection. She might not have the clearest mind at the moment, but I'm rooting for Roger. I bet they would have pretty babies! =)

    1. Ah, the obvious is too obvious in her opinion. lol. Roger actually '*listened* to Taylor, which is good. However you are incredibly right that Mariah is very much still reeling right now. I can only imagine her response if he were to go in with the anger he's holding right now and declare his undying love for her. Ha! It wouldn't go well. We'll just have to see if he's able to do it in a way that makes it work. ;)

  9. My jaw dropped when I read that letter. ARGHGH I want Andre to drive off a cliff. Poor Mariah.

Poor Roger, too. He grew up to be a looker, though he seems to be putting Mariah on a pedestal. I don't think he should go for Mariah right now (even though they'd be cute together) just because her life is in shambles--that would almost be like taking advantage of her.

Taylor! I got really excited when I saw her. :D

    1. Hmmm... drive off a cliff... that's tempting. ;)

He has indeed put Mariah on a pedestal. He's attributed all that is lovely and good to his goddess and is struggling to reconcile his new image of her with what is in his head. What he'll take most out of that, though, is a greater understanding of how she works and how she thinks and feels. He's overlooked areas where she really is needy in his efforts to view her as perfection. But maybe this will also show him the best way to win her as opposed to rushing in to only fill obvious holes. Or maybe he'll think he's filling those holes, when he's really just not listening. ;)

Taylor was a ton of fun to have there. Yay Taylor!

  11. Well, I WAS going to say it's cool to see Taylor, but reading above, Gemma just killed her. Guess that's zombie Taylor to me.

    *Chariots of fire*
    Go get her, Roger!
I hope one day that he gets to beat Andre into a bloody pulp! 'Course, then he'd sue, and that would be bad. 'Course, it might be worth it. What a turd.

    1. Taylor was on her lost computer. OFC, she could still download her from her own blog (Ha!) But there's such satisfaction in starting over on Sims3 sometimes. New CC, better stuffs out there, new mods. <3

Heehee. Roger dreams of a confrontation too. But who will be the one to throw the first punch? ;)
