Chapter 2.38-Speechless

Remember last time? Okay, good. Hit play and I'll see you on the other side. Also, the chapter is really only 5 and a half minutes. The last bit of time is just me rambling to you. Please don't be put off by the length. Please?

For starters, this is NOT machinima! It is a slideshow. It is simple but I felt it was far more effective than any words I could have given them to speak.

So this has taken months of work for me since I'm so dang slow. And making it made me totally feel like this:

And at first, I figured when I'm finished I'm totally gonna feel like this:
With a little bit of this afterward:
Followed by lots and lots of:

And finally ending with one of these:

Instead, all I wanna do is this:
So no offence ladies and gents, but there will be a small delay in getting the next chapter out since I kinda need a break. Rest assured that I will still have more up soon, and that we'll be moving forward fairly quickly now. And if you hated it, don't be afraid to be brutal. I think I can handle it. ;) I'm just rather curious to see what folks think.

Also, there is a short bit of Tibi at Prom under the Bloopers tab for anyone curious, and a good majority of the poses I made are up for download under the downloads tab above.

  1. So... wow. Thats just... you kicked all our asses Sunny. I mean, like literally knocked every single "omg" moment I can think of out of the water just by how you managed to get such a powerful moment/scene whatever across with no words. I'm amazed but I dunno why. I mean, I always knew you were a good writer, but now i know how amazing you are at storytelling too.

    Just wow.

(Also I saw the chapter thumbnail on Melissa's Summerdream story and the thumbnail is the Doctor freaked out at seeing Rory gif. Laughing so hard right now. It's kinda perfect for what I started feeling part way through this chapter).

Also also: I kinda hate you now. : ( I don't think I can top this no matter what I do. Fuck. Stop being so quality.

    1. Lol! Thank you! I'm quite flattered. Alright, yeah, I'm really flattered. And I'm glad you laughed at the gif. When I saw that particular one I was like, Yup! For sure need that one! lol. It's also why I tagged all the outtakes on the end hoping folks would laugh. After that I figured we could all use a laugh.

No! No hate! And there can be no comparison that's why I did this. HA! No, I just needed a way to do silent but not have it be 2 years long. Silent because Layla wasn't really hearing anything at that moment. She wasn't thinking either, but that's pretty typical for her.
      lol. I'll try. ;)

  3. I was crying, and then I was crying with laughter. LOL at the outtakes. (Also, your voice is really pretty, and not how I imagined it :p. And also, I pronounce Ignacio and Sabria all wrong :| You're like 'Ig-nar-cee-oh' and 'Sar-briah', and I'm all 'Ig-nay-she-oh' and 'Sah-bree-uh'. Oops. Oh, and 'Faye-drah' when I've been saying 'Fed-ruh')

Anyway. Yep. cried. Like a baby. Too beautiful. (I'm kinda speechless... LOL!)
Well done for all your immense work, and look how it turned out! All worth it, and you know me and Misty will always put up with your insanity, don't worry ;) Plus, you were hardly being annoying anyway.

Think that's about all I have to say, really! I will get to looking through the stills at some point so I can ogle the pics :)

    1. Lol! Good! You're supposed to laugh! That's my goal. :p ;) Aw, thank you! I was a bit stuffy and had to keep redoing it to get my voice out of my nose. Ha! Bwaaahahahaha! I love the different ways you pronounce the names! That's so cool though, how we all see the same thing but hear something different.

Aw! *passes Tisses *pats on back. There There. It's alright. Rofl! But if I was "hardly annoying" then I was indeed annoying at some point! I try not to be! Honest! All the more reason thanks are in order for it! *hugs

Thank! Enjoy the pics! Have fun finding my booboos and mistakes too. ;)

    2. This is weird, but I feel like you should send me that script and I'll find a microphone and record me saying the same thing so we can see how different we talk. Like, really, accents amaze me. (But then, of course, I'd have to edit it all to put in my slang and British charm ;) Pah! What charm?)
The names thing really weirded me out, because I remember having this conversation in comments on the chapter Iggy was introduced, and I was pronouncing it how I thought you'd said to! haha!

Another language difference in action there. Here 'hardly annoying' would mean that you were nowhere near annoying, but obviously that's slang rather than Queens English. You weren't annoying at any point!

Ooh. I'mma point out every booboo and mistake to bring you down a notch. I can see your head from here, Missy! :p

    4. I love this font! And that Q is flippin' gorgeous! Don't knock it. Ha!

I know! We say our R's so differently. It took me a bit to piece that out in my head. (Meaning, I realized I had no idea I put R's there.) ;) Ha!

    5. it's like a balloon!
      QQQQ Happy birthday!! QQQQ :p

Yeah, that's why accents amaze me! You can explain how to pronounce something, but you'll never really understand until you hear it.

    6. Balloons for everyone! lol it does kind of look like a balloon.

That's right! Are you sure you don't want me to send you that script so we can hear it in your voice? ;)

  4. Because you're so dang slow? *snort* You run circles around me.

The final product looks amazing! Like Reya said, you make the rest of us look unoriginal :D

It's so sad and poignant when Phedra and her husband disappear from the picture. Their son looks pretty angry in the end.

You captured the conversation between Layla and Ignacio very well. And although it's a sad scene, it still made me laugh that Iggy was thinking Layla's gone insane.

The scene with Iggy and Sabria, is he holding onto her for comfort, or because for once he wants her to "see"?

Aww, I got credited for enabling your insanity! <3

haha, sexy waffles, great caption! AHaha! And a horse's ass! Brilliant!

Ah, so Sabria does tell him that Layla's returning. That answers my above question.

Very nicely done. And great to hear your voice!

    1. But I don't go nearly as fast as I'd like to go. Or at least as fast as my ADD thinks I should go. Ha!

Aw, thank you. But I get my inspiration from others, including all of you!

Yeah, Layla is trying to convince herself (as per the norm!) That she somehow caused this and that Henry is going to blame her. We'll let her figure out she's wrong on her own.

Shoot. If that happened and someone was telling me half of that I'd think they'd gone a bit insane too! lol

He wants her to 'See.' At that rate he doesn't care if she also finds out other things, so long as she can tell him if Layla is coming back.

      Yup! Thank you! <3

Oh yes! That one made me laugh too. Like, I want to use that user name now. Ha!

Thank you! Maybe we'll get to hear a few other voices from others in return. *hint hint nudge nudge to anyone reading. ;)

  5. Thank you so much for taking that darn parental block off your blog!
I have spent the better part of my day catching up to this post and I loved every bit of it. I envy your skills very much considering I could never do anything like this.

I swear Phedras son and Laylas daughter have the prettiest eyes I've ever seen on a Sim!

    1. Lol! I'm glad you've enjoyed it. I'd actually meant to take it off this morning with just the warnings on those two chapters up and forgot. Sorry! Aw! Sure you could do something like this! It just takes time. And a healthy dose of insanity. Ha!

Thank you! I love their eyes too. Mariah is actually the 9th generation of my Nothing Is Free Challenge and the founder of that one had those eyes so I think it's fitting it's lasted this long.

  6. *Picks lower jaw up off the floor* Wowwww....wowww!!

That was so deep. I could picture the words to the conversation and identify exactly how they felt. Pretty amazing. *claps*

Man all I can really say is wow. Applaud you on your hard work. I couldn't even begin to do something like this, I wouldn't be done till next year seriously. So I understand you needing a break after this.

    1. Aw! Thank you!

I'm glad what was going on conveyed clearly. That was one of my biggest worries going into this.

Sure you could do it! It just takes a little patience and a healthy dose of insanity. Ha!

    1. Way too busy! I need a break but I'm so in the habit of sitting immediately in front of my computer and going reciting whatever my daily goals are for the day I'm a little lost. ha! Maybe I ought to catch up on all the house cleaning that got neglected. Like the baseboards. lol

Yay! I'm glad you liked it!

  11. My favorite part: Carlton Carlton Carlton, III doing his Tom Jones rock out moments. That show was a standard after school thing for me. I freak out my kids when I try to rap doing that opening sequence and 'Parents Just Don't Understand.' LOL.

No, seriously. I loved that. I think if I'd had it in movie form to start with that I'd have understood what was happening better. I got thrown off by Layla's insistence that Phedra wasn't dead, which is fine. What I don't understand is how long she was gone. It shows Tibi in different outfits, showing the passage of time, but then Layla is still at the same airport all that time?

    1. Carlton Carlton Carlton! You gotta love the Carlton. =D Hubs still does it with ours. The 6 year old is still little enough to be enchanted. The autistic one just goes "Daddy stop singing! You have no music!" Yup. Kids. xD They'll never know just how much they've missed out on.

Yes! These were published in this order so that this would show up on top of the blogger feed burying those 80 other posts prior to it. Haha. But it does make it confusing to go through later on.

That part was supposed to be confusing. It was confusing for Ignacio as well. She tells him Phedra is dead and goes with before suddenly changing her tack and tell him she's not really dead, only injured, and Layla has to go be SuperWoman and go save her. That was not the first airport Layla was at. It was the last. She'd taken a cab as far as she could before getting the first flight she could in the general direction of Phedra. From there she haphazardly hopped closer and closer with a one track mind until she had to wait and was forced to watch. By that point she was tired and had had quite a bit of time to think. Really think. You saw the rest.

  12. Wow! Seeing them all in the video was even cooled than scrolling through the pictures. Really nice job - there really was no need for any explanations :) My favorite scene is the one with Iggy and Sabria! So sweet.

    1. Thank you! I really wish I'd thought more about those catching up when I published all of these. This was published last so it would bury the bajillion previous posts leaving this one on top. Might need to go edit those posts with a link... Hmmm...
